Every farmer engaged in cattle breeding is running into an issue of recycling the organic waste, as dairy and pig farms produce a large amount of organic waste.
Livestock waste are considered as farm waste, but it is a unique and valuable organic fertilizer. Systematic application of organic fertilizers to the fields allows to reduce the rates of mineral fertilizers application, reduce soil mineralization, revitalize the soil microbiology, and at the same time improving the chemical and physical properties of the soil. As long-term practice shows, during the application of 150 -170 cubic meters of manure per hectare for silage - mineral fertilizer application is reduced by almost 100%. In such a way, waste are turned into income.
The profitability of crop production directly depends on the effectiveness of the fertilizer application system. Traditionally, to apply liquid organic fertilizers to the fields are used barrels. We propose an alternative technology for applying the liquid fraction of manure to the fields - this is the use of a hose system that allows to pump manure from manure stores and using hoses to feed manure directly into the fields up to a distance - 20 km. This system allows quickly, effectively and environmentally safe apply manure in the soil. Organic fertilizers are applied to the fields twice a year - in the autumn and spring. Taking into consideration our climate, the time intervals for applying liquid organic fertilizers are rather limited. When transporting manure with barrels, you will need several barrels, and several tractors, and even with this, a large amount of time may be needed to export a large amount of manure in barrels - 30-40 days.
Using a hose system with a pumping capacity - 2,000 cubes per day, even large lagoons - 20,000–30,000 cubic meters could be pumped out two or three times faster - in a period of 10-15 days. This technology has been widely used in USA, Canada, Denmark and other countries and becoms increasingly common in Ukraine. The use of a hose system is economical, as you need to use only two tractors, one of them tows the applicator with a hose mounted on it, and the other is used for its laying and transportation of the coils. To perform this process, three machine operators will be enough.
Operating peculiarities of the system
After pre-mixing manure in the lagoons using mixers, the homogenized liquid fraction is pumped out using a pump-diesel station. The basis of the pump-diesel station is a diesel engine of different power (from 175 hp to 560 hp).
The supply of the liquid fraction to the field is carried out through durable, heavy-duty hoses. For transporting, unwinding and winding the hoses, are used coils - so-called hose movers with a capacity - 2,200 meters each. The standard length of a single piece of hose is 200 m, therefore for their connection are used strong couplings with high abrasive resistance. As a main hose, a hose through which manure is fed from the lagoon to the fields, are used heavy-duty, wear-resistant, flattened polyurethane hoses with a diameter - 6.8, 10 inches.
A main hose is laid from the lagoon to the field. On the field, an extra-durable drag hose is connected to the main hose, that is connected to the soil applicator. The applicator is aggregated with a tractor with 250 hp. There are various modifications of applicators, both for soil and for subsoil application at different depths. The applicator is towed by a tractor, which, moving across the field, applies organic liquid fertilizers.
For pumping and application at distances of more than 4 km, are used intermediate or booster stations. There are several hose systems that are available for rent. Our sales-managers will help you to choose the right equipment for mixing manure, pumping out lagoons and applying liquid fertilizer to the fields, taking into account the specific distances and individual characteristics of the customer's area.
