On May 19, the National Farm Day took place on the basis of the "Novoselytsa" (Zhytomyr Oblast) state-owned enterprise. The key focus of the event was the journey of PSP "Novoselitsa" — from an ordinary farm with tethered cattle to a modern dairy complex for 800 cows with introduced technological solutions and new approaches to the organization of production.
The farm team shared in detail the practical experience of gradual modernization: how decisions were made about the reconstruction of old premises, how the production logic of the farm was changed, and what innovations were implemented step by step without a sudden "restart" of production. The participants of the event could see how familiar farm buildings were given a new life as part of a modern production complex.
Particular attention was paid to issues of efficiency and sustainability of the dairy business — from the organization of feeding to animal husbandry technologies and preparation for inspections. There was also a demonstration of alfalfa silage preparation, which made it possible to evaluate practical approaches to the formation of a high-quality fodder base. During the meeting, the participants also got acquainted with the know-how of partner companies that presented modern solutions for increasing productivity and optimizing processes on dairy farms.
